CYBERCRIME INSTANCE
Internet crime is not something strange in modern days. The technology growth has enlarged the benefits of using the internet irrespective of the location. The more technology improves, the more the internet is becoming an unsafe environment. Many firms are at risk of losing vital information if an incidence of internet crime could happen. This is because these companies have migrated to cloud computing, whereby their information is centralized in a single database. Therefore, whenever the internet criminals get successful in hacking the database system, the company will lose all the essential information(Taisuke Kanayama, 2017). Many cybercrimes have become common and making world headlines in the news every day. Phishing, identity theft, malware, among others. Many states and firms have been investing millions of dollars in controlling the incidences of systems hacking. Still, due to technology diversification, the criminals have also improvised their ways of attacking the systems. Most of these criminals are software engineers, computer engineers, scientists, and professors with in-depth knowledge about various database approaches.
I am aware of internet crime that took place in 2008 at Nashville. In a restaurant, whereby the broadcaster Erin Andrews had booked a room to spend nights while in her duties, Michael Barret recorded a secret video clip of the TV sportscaster while she was naked in her room. After recording, Michael Barret uploaded the clip to the websites, and within two days, it had reached millions of viewers(Billah, 2018). The same as any other cybercriminal, Michael Barret did it for his benefit. He confessed to have been doing the same over the years and then selling the video clips to the internet users. Eventually, it turned a case, and both the restaurant and Michael Barret were held accountable. Don't use plagiarised sources.Get your custom essay just from $11/page

RE: CYBERCRIME
Hello Karan Rajasekharan Ravichandran,
I have read the discussion concerning internet crime. Millions of people have been using the internet in different intentions. Some use the internet in storing important information, like firms and states. Others use the internet for googling content and searching. During the process of using the internet, there is an exchange of input and output data, which is done at the database level(Billah, 2018). The cybercriminals also know that databases hold essential information, including passwords, personal contacts, and more. Therefore, they usually target the system, and for those databases without strong encryption, they are cracked eventually. This helps the criminals in accessing personal accounts like bank accounts, with a false identity.

RE: CYBERCRIME
Hello Tejaskumar Aka Patel,
The discussion well elaborated on the issues of cybercrime. Cybercrime is not new, and many can affirm that its negative implications are severe. I want to mention a few things concerning the same. To date, due to technology, the internet has made things easier and faster. Today, many people can use the internet in paying in transactions processes. During these processes, there is an exchange of information on the same(Billah, 2018). Cybercriminals are usually keen and have identified the loopholes that can help them achieve their mission. Sometimes they are brave enough to create ads and upload them to the most searched sites, and by clicking on them, one ends up sharing the crucial information with them. Sometimes the criminals can get personal information, including emails and contacts. With that, they have many options, including identity theft.
