Daca Recipients

 (DACA)  that is Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals isthe policy of immigrants in America. Itpermits some persons who live in the United Statesunlawfullyor were brought here at a very young ageto receive deferred action for two years to avoid deportation.It is renewable, and one also attains a permit to work in the United Statesto be eligible for the license, one has to have clean records. This action does not give individuals a path to citizenship. Migrating to the States while still a child an growing up without documentsis mentally unhealthy.

A case study retrieved from a South Asian immigrant narrates how the creation of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivalshas transformed her life positively. She also says that her well being and mental health has improved. With no fears of resilence and personal identity, using a brief interview. These Immigrants move to the United States to improve their lives and achieve the American dream. Unfortunately, they face so many challenges in the process ofmaintaining and obtaining citizenship(Schmid, C. L. 2013).

After reading articles on immigrants, a legal process should beachieved that will give citizenship in the United States for the children of illegal immigrants(Green, 2018). The reason being, these people arrived in the U.S. when still very young and could not make decisions on their own. These children school in America interact with American children, and this has resulted in them adopting the American culture in which they live. (Gielen&Roopnarine, 2016).according to research, the establishment of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals has brought about an increase in the labor force, wages, and improved the status ofemployment. The mental fitness for these partakers, together with their children, has also improved. The figure of immigrants living in poverty has also reduced recorded from research centers.Though no evidence proves of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals rate of crime,research unveils that their crime rates are lower compared to those ofpeople born in American. Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals has extremepositive changes in the United States economy as analyzed by economists and ending it will adversely sway the economy of the United States. Immigration is an economic boon, according to economists.

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals has increased jobs since some recipients own their businesses. The demand and consumption of products and services are quite high in their area towns. Furthermore,  the eligible workers are highly skilled and have jobs that are well paying than those undocumented immigrants. One survey shows that ninety-one percent of recipients are employed, while five percent own businesses, with 3.1 percent of Americans. According to all this research, analysis done by economists, it would be a drastic loss to the country and its economy if the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals bill is to be eliminated. It is more beneficial if they acquired citizenship..

IMMIGRANTS SOLUTION.

The following is a proposal that will provide a solution for the Deferred Action for Children Arrivals and undocumented immigrants. The three steps will give a  pathway to citizenship in the United States. This is by going through college, the armed services, or work.

STEP 1: LIMITED RESIDENCE

A limited residence, including a work permit, will be eligible for an individual for ten years. Still, one has to have come to the United States while under eighteen years of age and has been continuously present since then. One should have gone through an institution of higher learning or technical school and has graduated from high school with a diploma or a general education diploma or has enrolled in a training program to attain the same certificate. His or her records must be clean with no conviction of anyoffense,that is, violation of any moral code, or drug offense, any fault punishable in prison for more than a year or more than three crimes under federal law. Offenses essential to an individual’s status of immigration are exceptional.

A person should not be convicted of domestic violence unless one proves to be a victim, child abuse, sexual molestation, extreme cruelty, or human trafficking.

The limited residence will be offered directly to anyone withthe Deferred Action for Children Arrivals.

STEP 2: LAWFUL RESIDENCE

A person will acquire a lawful residence to live permanently in the U.S or a green card automatically for five years if he or she maintains the status of limited residence status. One also has to have a certificate in technical education or an area of career and having completed two years of higher education or a program that offers a guarantee after completion.Either has an honorable discharge after the end of two years of Military service or display three-year employment with seventy-five percent employment authorization.  Persons who don’t have these requirements or are with disabilities, or if the removal of a spouse, a parent who is a citizen of the United States, can bring about utmost hardship can appeal for a hardship waiver.

STEP 3: NATURALIZATION

Eventually, when a person maintainslawful residence with the required status for five years, he or she can apply for  UnitedStates citizenship through the usual process. This proposal will fulfill many immigrants’ dreams since it considers the different categories of people.
