Every organization can be able to design or come up with a sound information security policy. However, the information security policy can remain just a useless paper if the content is not disseminated to the masses, which in this case are the employees and the entire organizations’ fraternity. This, therefore, calls for the need for effective dissemination of the content of the policy to the masses. The second reason why it is essential to disseminate this information effectively is to create awareness for the masses (Washington, Willis, and Tauberer, 2012). This is because the end game of having a security policy is to protect an organization against threats, the strategy is only valid if it is understood and adhered to, this calls for the need of creating awareness through effective information dissemination.
