The method aims to spread results of research and evidence-based practices to nurses since they usually have limited time to participate in researches. The evidence-based research results are crucial since they help in curbing the number of mortalities in hospitals because nurses are the most significant number of medical personnel in every hospital around the world.

Moreover, the dissemination of evidence is crucial in updating nurses on the current and efficient methods of nursing practice (Gonzalez, 2020). Technology and research are essential tools for the evolution of healthcare techniques that prolong lifespan. For instance, dissemination of evidence-based research results on how to take care of a person infected with the Coronavirus is dependent on the rate of dissemination research results to nurses around the world lest the nurses get infected, or the patients die.

Dissemination of evidence to nursing is also crucial for ensuring the quality of the nursing interventions is maintained in addition to implementing cost-effective techniques. Therefore, the distribution of evidence to nursing practice is vital in increasing the scope of the practice, keeping the career up to date, ensuring maintenance of the quality of nursing practice, and implementing cost-effective methods.

(b). What does the dissemination of evidence accomplish for the nursing profession?

The first accomplishment of disseminating evidence to nurses is that it increases the nurses’ morale, especially in implementing evidence-based methods while dealing with patients under their care. More specifically, the technique increases motivation in nurses since it elevates their confidence. The morale of nurses is usually decreased whenever they lack confidence in the methods used to treat patients, but evidence-based practice significantly increases the morale of medical health employees. Consequently, a highly motivated nursing team has a low level of employee turnover, in addition to job satisfaction.

Moreover, dissemination of evidence to nurses ensures patients are motivated while taking care of themselves at their residence. The methods provide a clear procedure that ensures patients can easily administer medicine to themselves while away from medical health facilities, thereby reducing the rate of mortality. Another accomplishment of dissemination of evidence to nurses is that it ensures researchers share their results since it is unethical to perform experiments with humans and keep the findings (Curtis et al., 2017). Furthermore, dissemination of evidence to nurses is essential in ensuring research results and evidence-based methods are routinely implemented for the improvement of nursing practices.

2. Give an example of the dissemination of evidence to influence health policy.

Comprehensive state mental health parity legislation is an appropriate example of evidence-based research results that the United States Community Preventive Service Task Force disseminated to nurses. The healthcare research organization ascertained that the methods were crucial after analyzing the effect of thirty different pieces of research (Purtle et al., 2017). Moreover, evidence-based practice influenced health policy in the United States by expanding insurance coverage for mentally deficient people. It also increased the usage rate of health services meant for the mentally sick people in the United States.

Comprehensive state mental health parity legislation also improved the financial protection of patients with mental deficiencies. The method has developed the previous health policy that left many United States citizens untreated since they lacked appropriate insurance cover. The method used previously by the medical insurance organizations in the United States was restrictive compared to other health-related insurance covers.
