Distinguishing the role and how it promotes patient outcome
The FNPs role is clinical because the nurse is in contact with the patient every time, including in treatment, diagnosis, and patient health education. Patient issues are covered during patient-nurse interaction. Patient education is done alongside other nursing roles, such as diagnosis or treatment roles. It promotes patients to improve their health outcomes. The nurse provides care as the primary physician could provide it. FNP offers patient care at the family level as a healthcare provider (Coombs, 2015).
Application of Advance Nursing Practice concept in patient outcome
Emphasizing on nurses in advanced practice to enhance patients’ access to healthcare services is attributable. ANP encourages patient health safety and access to health information because of a direct encounter with the patient. Any health information necessary for the patient is delivered to the patient and family because nurses are primary care providers. The primary care role helps to ensure first contact and continuity of care through the harmonization of care according to the needs of the patient (DeNisco, 2019).
