Diversity Program Ideas
The word university is a Latin compound word that means “seeking truth together,” Latin “universus” meaning whole and veritas meaning “truth.” Literary, a university is a place where students from different social backgrounds, races, religious beliefs, and cultures converge to seek knowledge/truth. Learning seems to be easier since each student has a different cognitive ability; thus, students gain a lot from their colleagues.
I champion Chapman Diversity Project because the program enhances my learning abilities. The diversity project helps learners from different social grounds and cognitive ability achieve their dream career with less struggle. If I am involved in Chapman Diversity Project, I will motivate students since I was once involved in learning disabilities in my second grade. My disability demanded I be included in the Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Diversified programs taught me how to interact with my immediate environment effectively, I have come to realize that I enjoy being engaged to my peers. I believe the Chapman Diversity Project will allow me to explore my interests and learn more about my environment, peers, and self.
Being part of the Chapman Diversity Project will enable me to expand my social network as well as my profession. The surrounding environment of diverse minds will help me to align my life goals with my career. Diversity will enable me to step outside of my comfort zone and take advantage of different opportunities and find what interests me. I am ready and confident for any growth opportunity given by Chapman Diversity Project. I am prepared to explore new academic and social endeavors, and I would love to become part of the Chapman family.
