Elevator shaft repair
An elevator shaft is a vertical shaft in a building that allows the passage of an elevator from floor to floor.
A lot of our clients who have elevators in their buildings often need their elevator shafts and elevator pits repaired from time to time.
What we do
- Repair leaking elevator shaft- the elevator may be leaking due to several reasons. Below are some of the reasons why an elevator shaft may leak,
- A water main may either be blocked, damaged or even may have burst
- The system of waterproofing may not have been installed correctly
- The levels of rains received in the area may have been higher than normal
How to identify where this leak is coming from
The most straightforward answer is either from a crack or a joint in the walls. But this is not always the case.
Most elevator shafts are built with concrete blocks. This may lead to water penetrating through the weak joints.
What can I do to stop the leak?
As soon as you realize the elevator shaft is leaking, you should call our team as quickly as possible to fix the problem. Our team is well equipped and experienced enough to deal with these kinds of repairs. After the work is complete, you will be pleasantly satisfied with the results of the repair.
- Electrical repair- in most cases, during the construction of the elevator shaft, the wiring may not have been done correctly, and it is not uncommon for electrical wires to be hanging in the shaft. Due to the friction, from the elevators coming up and down, fire may be triggered.
What to do
You should contact our team immediately, and we will fix the problem as soon as possible before it causes any more damage.
- Install soundproofing materials- we also install noise absorbers in the elevator shafts to minimize noise that often causes discomfort to residents. Most elevator shafts are located in a separate utility core that is usually far from dwellings or office complexes. This is because the elevator passage can cause a lot of noise due to the vibrations, which are then transmitted via the vertical rails.
- We also close open elevator shafts – It is not uncommon for the people who suffer elevator shaft accidents to be trapped between the shaft wall and the elevator. And this mainly happens because the shafts are open for one reason or the other.
One of our services is to close any open shafts that will, in turn, prevent future accidents.
We fix this problem by ensuring proper maintenance procedures, repairing the wiring, and pulley systems to minimize the number of accidents.
