Introduction

Health care environment differ from any other environment of work. Health care systems are currently undergoing an important change. The advent of managed care systems has completely changed how health treatment is paid for. Rapid growth in technology has contributed to the rise in healthcare. The rise in health problems has led to rise in need for monitoring of personal health. The rise in demanding opinion is causing a high struggle in health sector taking. Due to increased long queues and the rise the number of patients has lead to increase in doctor’s fee which makes it difficult for patients to afford better health care.

Evolution of healthcare

Over decade of years the healthcare world has changed drastically. Improvements have been realized as a result of new discoveries. There ways in which healthcare has changed including (Harrison et al.283). According to Harrison et al (283), technology had a great effect over the decades on how healthcare has changed. Having that Technology grows so fast leading to creation and discovery of most of the things. Therefore, industries benefit from this and things are changing and improving. Healthcare is among the industries that have changed and benefited most .Tools used on each day to day basis for example machines used for taking body X-rays from several angles known as CT scan they are an implementation of technology (Harrison et al.283).. Because with lack of such it could have been hard to diagnose things or to do such would require more timing. We do have also in place the technology in surgery that are used by people for live saving purpose. For example the technology that is used for administration of drugs to patients or tools used in breathing.

It has also helped improve communication in hospitals where they can communicate with each other better and share medical records (Stoddart et al, 27-29). This ensures also records stored online are secure .Hospitals booking systems have also improved, leaving the staff organization been better than before and has also helped the employees in coping with loads of work. Everything been digitalized has helped reduce the amounts of information been lost. Possibility of large cabinets   filled with lots of sheet paper and also overfilled, which made everything look more mess not as today which is more organized. Stoddart et al. (29-31) stipulate that, a more organized health facility has lead to good healthcare. Modern technologies have improved healthcare massively. More people save their Lives daily as a result of efforts made in technology of medicine.

Anesthetic is given to patients during certain medical procedures to reduce the pain (Zhu, 44-45). This has caused a different from past times; there was actually inability to do all this. There was actually no anesthesia meaning that one would have the risk of being in great pains. Now we do have the anesthesia for operations that may hurt patient much, making patients uncomfortable with such procedures been done to them .Doctors way of administering anesthetics to patient nowadays is more safe than before making a great change .In the older days, patient had a worry about anesthesia effects .whereby gas was to knock outpatient that causing a dazing on them for few hours. Today the procedure is secure and there is no more worry about this. The anesthesia circuits are used to give anesthetic gas safely which is used for patient who need to be operated for a long while (Zhu, 75). The efforts of anesthesiology has a great impact on health care

Healthcare has also grown as a result of research in the medicine area. Resulting in discovery of cure of various disease .Treatment development and also new drugs has been discovered. For example looking at some disease such cancer one of the deadly disease the survival rates for such patient has gone high. Research in medicine helps early detection of cancer at its young stages hence incremental in chances of survival (Stoddart et al, 52). Research has also lead to development Treatment methods .Research has really improved the health sector in large. There is impossibility of everything been discovered at once but through Medical research new things are discovered which help in improvement of health sector.

Role of women in Healthcare

Health IT has connected patients to quality health care more than before. Women use mobiles to manage the health of their children and elderly parents. The arrival of fem tech is encouraging more women too as men don’t actually understand women problem like the menstruation fertility tracking and menopause. Women are leading the initiative to get their families the quality they need. They play a major role in the delivery and support of health in their families and home .they are the main contact point and coordinator for care for everyone in the family. Women are on the frontlines of patient engagement, primarily because are on the frontline of healthcare. Most of the employees especially that have direct contact with patients are women. Increasing more women into technology is likely to increase productivity, offers women a source of high quality jobs and may also have knock on benefits for female consumer’s technology (Stoddart et al, 39-40).
