A healthy workplace environment is one that contributes positively to the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of the employees. The workplace should be a safe haven for employees since this is where they spend most of their time. They need to feel a sense of belonging at work and it’s only in this way that they can produce the best results. It gives them a feeling of appreciation and they can be their authentic selves without fear of intimidation by their bosses or colleagues.

When the workplace has an air of belonging around it, employees will rarely feel left out. Inclusivity will make them feel safe and psychologically prepared to face their day-to-day tasks. If and when the environment is supportive, employees will be more involved in their work and better motivated to achieve the set targets and achieve the organisations objectives.
