One of the goals of this assignment is to give you practice in considering issues from multiple perspectives. To that end, you will want to approach your topic from many different angles, using your imagination or even research to explore how people may form different opinions about the same topic. Essay format Each paper should adhere to the standard MLA guidelines. If you don’t know MLA guidelines, look them up (online at OWL at Purdue (Links to an external site.)) or visit the Writing Center on campus for help. Each paper must feature an original title. A Works Cited page (in MLA format) (Links to an external site.) must accompany this essay, since the essay should include information from at least one outside source. Each paper should culminate with the following signed statement: I, [type your name], hereby claim that the contents of this essay are original and properly cited. Every word was written to the best of my ability, and I sought out help along the way both from my peers and my professor. All errors in grammar, spelling, format and organization, and lapses in logic are my sole responsibility.
