During my studies, I developed an interest in the field of marketing. As a result, I joined an IT start-up, a new-age product development software company and worked for a year in the departments of marketing and admin. My job administered the chance to build my knowledge in market research practices, budgeting & cost analysis and awareness of social media platforms. After some time with enhanced knowledge and heightened self-assurance in the marketing field, I introduced integrated multichannel marketing in our family business. We have a strong customer base through word of mouth and loyal customers for over a decade, but to reach more customer base and grow the business, I created a simple facebook and Instagram page. The high-quality reviews on google and other sites helped us increase the customer footfall.

After pursuing my passion for working in the world of marketing, I have had the opportunity to work as a Business Development Executive in the same IT Company. While working, I got enlightened that in today’s digital age, where an escalating number of customers are becoming tech-savvy, digital marketing strategies integrated into marketing activity help the companies to reach customers locally as well as globally, thus promoting business, increasing sales and making more money. Digital marketing is a cost-effective approach for businesses to gain exposure online and hence, is very crucial to new age organisations. Acquainted with the significant role of digital marketing and to fulfil my dream to design an exciting and invigorating life with a shift of mindset, I decided to invest in my academic-progression in the field of digital marketing. Additionally, the positive response, increased customer retention and visits of potential customers on our family business’s social media pages boosted my spirit and helped me solidify my decision to pursue my master’s in Digital Marketing.

While analyzing and researching future prospects, I realized that Digital Marketing is a huge forum with a brighter scope in the coming years. I want to stay relevant and wish to get a better understanding of the various concepts and polish the essential skills required to help the business expand, thrive and remain viable in the future. To achieve my objective, it is imperative that I brush on my skills on the recent advancements in the technology, especially around marketing.
