The field of Management Accounting is also referred to as corporate accounting, and it involves financial and accounting roles essential for the running of an operation. Managerial accountants give directions to the internal financial processes. For one to venture into this field, they have to be skilled in financial data analysis, strategic planning, risk management, and budget planning.  Furthermore, they should have excellent communication skills, acceptable accounting principles, and a forward-thinking approach. There are two potential careers that I found interesting: an internal auditor and that of a corporate controller. Both jobs require managerial accounting knowledge and experience.

Corporate controllers (Chief Financial Officers) are the top executives responsible for the financial activities of their organizations. Their core responsibilities include tracking income and expenses, establish monetary policies, make recommendations regarding investment decisions, and oversee the budgets. Of great interest to me is tracing of income and expenses, which delights me. Internal auditors monitor that crucial financial information and documents are concise and that all financial procedures are correctly and adequately carried out. I found this job interesting because internal auditors are given the responsibility of ensuring that workers  produce high-quality work and with little or no mistakes. It is exciting to have such a position of overseeing the wellbeing of the company.
