Four Freedoms Identified by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in His Speech

President Roosevelt, in his speech, spoke of the four freedoms around the world as a measure to highlight his plea in making the world a secure place. Roosevelt gave out his vision in which everyone around the world is free to relay their opinions and convictions freely. Secondly is the Freedom of religion, which is the Freedom to worship God differently anywhere in the world. Thirdly, Freedom from want, which means the Freedom of everyone to have a sufficient standard of well-being. Additionally, Freedom from fear that implies that no nation will be offering threats to another; the utility of destructive armaments will be reduced.

The United States placed the Japanese on interment in the course of world war II. This was a result of fear emanating from the Japanese Americans with cultural and ethnic ties to those in Japan who would help in the war.  This was a concern to national security and a public hysteria developed.  In the notice, all Japanese were required to clear out of their homes in a week. All radios and lights in the evacuees quarters were to be off by 10;30pm. The evacuees were to be indoors between 10.00 pm and 6.00 am. Contact and unnecessary noises or disturbances were illegalized.

The Japanese evacuees were limited freedoms such as movement, expression, and speech. From the documents, the supremacy of human rights is dependent on peace and limited during wars. Americans are defined as the flagbearers of the Human freedoms exercisers.  Americans are considered to be the leaders in the promotion of human rights but curtailers in war times.
