Nursing practitioners can get certification through organizations. As a nurse, my profession expects that I give priority to the interests of my patients. I have to collaborate with the other nurses and staff in my place of operation to ensure proper duty delivery. The patients must have access to quality services through my practices. The American Nurses Association requires that patients get the best served by a health care setting where there are diverse forms of qualified professionals. The world of healthcare provides that nurses offer their full potential with the experience gained in their education and abilities. - A discussion of three professional nursing organizations that you think are most influential in advancing the scope and influence of advanced nursing.
The nursing profession expects that there is the existence of a professional culture. Such allows fostering of values as well as the ethos of the job among the members. Nurturing and maintenance of the professional culture is through the actions of the profession’s organizations (Morilla-Herrera et al., 2016). The enhancement of professional organizations is collectively advocating values on behalf of the nursing profession to others. One of the nursing professional organizations is the American Society of Superintendents of Training Schools for Nurses formed in 1893. In the contemporary world, the organization’s name is the National League for Nursing. The second one is the Associated Alumnae of Trained Nurses of the United States, Canada, formed in 1896, and today we call it the American Nurses Association (ANA). The third organization, established in 1899, is the International Council of nurses, which is the first international professional nursing organization (Cherry & Jacob, 2016). The three nursing organizations are active across diverse parts of the world and influence the nursing together with healthcare. Through the organizations, there is a constituted “voice of nursing” in a diversity of professional, regulatory, political, clinical, and educational matters.
Of these organizations, evaluate the one that you would most like to join. How do its goals and mission fit in with your worldview and philosophy of care?
In my case, I would join the American Nurses Association because it represents the nursing profession and interests of over 3.4 million nurses. The mission for ANA is “nurses advancing our profession to enhance the health of all” (Catallo, Spalding & Haghiri-Vijeh,2014). Through the stated purpose, I am then being able to focus on working towards the established mission and offer the best healthcare practices to my patients. Through professional nursing organizations, then there is a chance for the nurses to influence nursing practice, health policy, nursing education, and standards of healthcare.
How might membership in this organization improve your practice?
Through the diverse facets to the membership of the organization exist, I have achieved transformations in the profession. Through it, other nurses and I offer a collective means where we as nurses have a say in shaping healthcare policy. Personal membership in nursing organizations, besides aids me in staying current about regards that manipulate their specific practice area and nursing role. When one engages in professional organizations, he or she enhances leadership skills and offers networking opportunities for every member contributing to the advancement of the career. The ANA organization ensures that it fulfills its mission through enhancement of the nursing standards of practice, expanding the body of knowledge through research and evidence-based practice; thus, I have been able to enhance my general welfare as a nurse in the workplace.

Technology application in healthcare today is one of the crucial roles of advanced nurse practitioners. Technology is shaping the healthcare environment as fast as possible (Perry, Henderson & Grealish,2018). It is essential that then as an advanced nurse to ensure that I utilize the up to date technology in diagnosing, treating, and advising the public on concerns of wellbeing, chronic disease management, and involve additional learning to maintain relevancy in the field of nursing.

Technology use in healthcare will improve efficiency as well as the success of the nursing practice. The nursing practitioners need to observe matters of privacy together with confidentiality in managing the data of the patient through technology use. Revealing of the patient’s data without the consent of the patient leads to compromising of the patient’s confidentiality. The data of the patient is sensitive; hence, it needs utmost privacy as well as confidentiality.
