The mainland of India is located in the Northern Hemisphere in South Central Asia. It has an area of roughly 3.28 million square kilometers. Physiographically, India has six regions: TheNorthern and Northeastern Mountains, The Northern Plain, The Peninsula Plateau, The Indian Plateau, The Coastal Plains, and The Islands. India shares international boundaries with Afghanistan and Pakistani, the Northwest, China, Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan in the North and Northeast and Bangladesh in the East. Mesopotamia is the land between two rivers; the Euphrates to the West and Tigris to the East. The soil in Mesopotamia was very fertile, facilitating intensive agriculture through irrigation from the rivers’ water. Egypt is located in North Africa. It depends on the River Nile as a source of food, water, and transportation. It cuts across the land from north to south, forming fertile silt plains along its coast before emptying into the MediterraneanSea.

Hinduism is the supreme religion in India. It is a polytheistic religion. All Hindus believe in one God, Brahman, the in-dweller in all of us. Most Hindus have a personal god or goddess to whom they usually pray. Hinduism is not founded by any prophet. It is based on the Vedas, foundational scriptures that are intuitive spiritual teachings of the ancient Rishes. Hinduism is therefore termed a revealed religion. Each Hindu follower aims to attain god realization while doing their avocation in this world. The Vedas emphasize self-restraint, renunciation, and practical Sadhana to unfold the divinity within.

The lives of ancient Egyptians centered around the mighty Nile and the glory of the sun and the stars. In these stars, they recognized their gods, who were all outranked by the sun. Also familiar to the ancient Egyptian farmer were the animals and birds of the desert under whose form Egyptians deities frequently represented. Ancient Hebrews practiced Judaism, which is a monotheistic religion. Followers believe in the existence of one supreme God.
