As an operation manager, I will deal with Goods designs by understanding customers’ needs and market to design highly competitive goods that will help to introduce the new product successfully. When we launch the product to the market we will focus in research and development. Product Development system is impotent to the goods. My decision will consider all business functions such as finance, marketplace, and engineering. Also, I will deal with the quality function deployment by knowing what satisfy customers and translating those customers desire into the target design. Significantly, as an operation manager, I will major on the following basic principles of product designs in order to win the customers tastes and preferences. They include, translating customers wants and needs. This takes into account clear understanding of the kind of goods that customers perceive. After understanding about my customers, as an operation manager I will propose to the production department to produce goods as per the customers’ tastes and preferences.

This process is perfected through customized method of segmentation. It refers to the segmentation process in which customers describe the kind of goods they need to purchase and therefore is per the management to take the initiative of producing goods as per the customers’ description. Secondly, as an operation manager, I will refine the existing products and embrace the mood for production of new products. Producing new products will help to create trust for customers to maintain their stand in purchasing products from such organization.  By refining the existing products, I will have ensured that a particular product remains on trade for customers to buy. Thirdly, as an operation manager, I will formulate quality goals and cost targets. Quality targets about product designs involve adding into a particular product taste so that sales are boosted. One of the important ways I would emphasize as an operation manager is choosing the best method of designing the products. Probably, I will use customization and product standardization will because they result to high sales. To understanding future desired by customers, I will define the relationship between the costumers and method to design products and processes. The organization of product development will be concurrent engineering. Concurrent engineering purposely implies fast product development through simultaneous performance of various aspects of product development. To avoid the cost and get more benefits of product, I will focus on Manufacturability and Value Engineering activities that will obviously lower down costs and design for manufacturability. Also, the value engineering will result to benefits such as simplicity in production of goods, that is, production of goods that suit consumers. Secondly, it will lead to the reduced negative impact on the environment by controlling activities that might cause environmental degradation. Thirdly, value engineering will lead to improved standardization of products by either using a variety of ingredients or secondly by improving ways of packaging. The forth benefit that results from value engineering is the improved maintainability of product. This is to mean adding to a product appropriate aspects that will make a product remain in the market for quite some moment. Lastly, value engineering will enhance job design by promoting division and specialization. Right employees in the right job position in order to produce goods of high quality. The product will prefer robust design to requirements. Additionally unfavorable conditions in the production process and computer-aided design CAD uses three-dimensional drawing to save time and money by shortening development cycles for virtually all products. Also, using design for manufacture and assembly (MFMA) software will focus on the effect of design assembly. Sustainability is the best way to meet the needs of  the present without compromising the ability of future generation to meet their needs. Because involves thinking not only about environmental resources but also about employees, customers, community and the company’s reputation. My decisions will consider three Ps profit, people, planet, profit. Location may determine up to 50% OF operation expense also it a critical element in determining revenue for the service, retail, or professional firm. Selecting a facility location becomes much more complex with globalization. The globalization development of (!1) market economics 2- better international communications 3- more rapid, reliable travel and shipping 4- ease of capital flow between countries , and 5- high differences in labor cost.
