health organizations’ operations
I agree with my colleague, as in the previous years, health organizations’ operations were difficult to run. Instruments were sterilized and reused, which could sound absurd to any individual that never got to witness it. Writing down all the patients’ information was very tiresome. So many lives were lost as hospitals did not have the needed resources for tackling some complex diseases. Healthcare institutions have indeed come a long way, and as technology keeps on advancing, it only gets better. All these healthcare developments have significantly impacted the way health institutions operate but positively. A good number of hospitals have highly embraced these technological advancements, which keep on evolving with each passing day. Currently, instead of writing down the information of the patients, nurses make use of Electronic Health Records, and, indeed, patients are now fully involved in their health care.
Hospital portals have made life easier for patients as they can make hospital payments, access their medical information, make appointments, and even request for medication refills. Patients can achieve all that without having to go all the way to the hospital. I also agree that communication is an essential element in every hospital area of activity, in nursing, and even in every communication intervention like treatment, prevention, etc. Miscommunications can bring about a lot of problems, for example, when it comes to prescriptions. The correct nursing terminology is essential to prevent confusion or making terrible mistakes. Excellent communication should indeed be enhanced among the clinical workers via a systemized nursing language. The establishment of effective nursing communication is crucial to giving exceptional care and also excellent patient results.
