  History culture and religion

Following your above discussion, it’ interesting to find that you consider religion as one of the perspectives that convey cultural worldview. As studies imply, religions help people understand life as well as prepare for death (Samovar et al.,2017). Equally, it helps create community, social participation, and discipline. Arguably, this implies that religion helps create the behavioral dimension and perception of the world. Islam is among the six religions and counts the second-largest religion after Christianity in the world, with more than 2 billion followers.  From studies, it is noted that the Islam community believe in monotheistic religion (Samovar et al.,2017).That is, there is only one God known as Allah, and Muhammad is his final messenger. In detail, to critically understand the Islamic faith, it is imperative to address the six core assumptions that help explain the Islamic faithand their perception of the world. They include believe in one God, the Koran, submission, predestination, judgment, and the five pillars (Samovar et al.,2017). Precisely, Islam is regarded as a monotheistic religion. As samovar et al. (2017) report, Muslims recite shahada claiming there is no god but God. Subsequently, they believe in Koran as the most sacred book and perceive its inception to imply the oral communication between angel Gabriel and Muhammad and then to his followers. Submission is another trait that conveys Muslim believes. In this case, it is stated that the name Islam itself means committing to one God and his will (Samovar et al., 2017) On the other hand, predestination is a believe that destiny In Islamic unfolds according to God’ will as studies reports, Muslims believes that life unfolds according to God’s will (Samovar et al.,2017). Equally, Muslims believe in judgment. That is, based on one’s deeds and believes, a Muslim is destined to paradise or hell. Lastly, the five pillars of Muslims denote Islam’s believes values and conception of the world more often, it is denoted by their prayer pattern, monotheism, charity, fasting, and pilgrimage.

Religious heritage implies the cultural traditions and historical contextsthat has been passing through generations. In fact, it denotes the connection between culture history and religion. Further, it promotes cultural diversity. For example, from the UNESCO article (2020), it is identified that establishment of samanid state, which was a Muslim political and religious culture, led to association of theologians with scholar AbuMansur which was a narration tradition. Notably, theologian was aChristian education, and therefore association with Muslim hadith imply the aspect of heritage religion in promoting cultural diversity. Additionally, universal religions described to characterize Asia city-states convey how religious heritage promotes cultural diversity. In this case, it is realized that universal religion composing of Nestorian Christianity,Buddhism Manichaeism, and the Iranian people is said to form a Universalistic theme that is more concerned with individual salvation rather than ethnic group holiness (UNESCO article, 2020). This means that the Zoroastrianism culture had an integrated approach towards good and evil among many religions. Hence, being a tradition or a religious heritage, its incorporation of a diverse religions under one goal implies the ability function of religious heritage in promoting cultural diversity..
