how technical information is frequently applicable
The document talks about how technical information is frequently applicable. For instance, it talks about emails, reports, blogs, podcasts, and computer help files, among others. Although the documents are a critical component of technical communication, so too is the process: writing and reading, tweets, and text messages. It encompasses a set of activities that people do to discover, shape, and transmit information. Just as the principles that you apply in writing either in college or in the earlier education, technical communication applies the same basics, to be precise, listening speaking, reading, and writing to analyze to find a solution. While going through the document, I had to agree with the author, but to some extends, several confusions trigger my mind hence marks the beginning of the disagreement.
According to the document, the author talked about the importance of technical communication skills in one’s career. “Many college students believe that most important courses they take are those in their major,” said the writer. I conquer with the author since the explanations are very clear and simple to understand. For instance, knowledge in a particular field is not the only thing employees are looking for, not even the most important skill or ability but, research tells that people who can communicate are the ones in need by the employers.
Although the above concept is correct, somehow, I feel otherwise. Think about this, a person with good communication skills or a nice etiquette gets a job, but well-trained skilled personnel minus etiquette is denied a chance, what are the consequences at the end? Maybe it might lead to an accident if working in a company, or lead to positive signs in an organization.
From the report about the job outlook in 2014 by the National Association of colleges and employees, it is found that among the abilities that the employers seek, communication skill has always been the second one.
