San Antonio is named after the patron Saint, known for finding things, and lost people. The restaurant joined a field of other wineries in Southern California. From the Mission era. Since winemaking has been going on in Southern California, there were at least 43 wineries in the region by mid-1800s.

Although a resurgence of a modern winery is yet to materialize in California’s district, San Antonia deserves a standing ovation. It is LA’s original urban winery.

TASTING ROOMS: One

As Cris and JoAnn evolve, they are planning to release vintages of a 2nd Maha Estate label, which they exclusively cultivate from their land.

TASTING ROOM: It

is opened from Friday to Sunday to the public, while you can visit the other

days of the week only by appointment. The place has a winery connection as the

vines of Maha surround it. The first one-Tasting Flight has four regular types

of wine; one is white like Roussanne or Fiano, while three reds could range

from Syrah-led blends Avenger or High Road. The options extend to

single-vineyard Syrah that comes from the Bassetti Vineyard neighboring

Cambria. And Cabernet Sauvignon derived from Carver Vineyard’s old vines.

DAOU VINEYARDS:

Origin: Daou is

family-owned by brothers whose vision started in 2007, and then decided to sell

their IT company to buy a 600-ranch acre in Paso Robles west region. Today it

sits at Daou Mountain at 2,200 feet. It pours opulent and luxurious wines with

an outstanding view. The brothers have built a sprawling, magnificent wine

portfolio, focusing on Bordeaux reds.

However, they do carry more highlights of Chardonnay and Rhone blends. They also have Rhone-Bordeaux cuvée and some offbeat combos such as Petite Sirah

along with Tannat. With their latest viticultural technology, they seem to be

to the wine coloring) in the cellar, cultivating their yeast strains.

TASTING ROOM: If

this game experience of Tasting. They have an exciting menu offer known as

choose-your-own-adventure” and has a range of $40 tasting. Can be enjoyed while

seated on the patio outside, Cabernet comprehensive for $65, or at the onyx

bar. For food and wine pairing, you will find cheese and charcuterie at $55, or

have an estate picnic for $195, with culinary pairing at $75, showcasing three

wine pairing with dishes like seared sea scallops and mouth-watering

pomegranate-glazed pork riblets.

JUSTIN VINEYARDS & WINERY

Origin: Justin is

Paso’s modern wine scene that was born in 1981. The former banker bought a

piece of limestone-studded terrain that was in the hills, far west of town. A

place where everyone was farming barley and nuts. He then turned the property

into an estate, where he built and created isosceles and a great blend of

Bordeaux red, setting a new way of the standard to Paso Robles region and

beyond. Baldwin later sold the company in 2010, to Stewart and Lynda Resnick,

who were from Fiji Water. They invested more capital, which saw the growth of

the brand without the compromise of quality.

TASTING ROOMS: In

the tasting room flight, you will find five variety of wines; there are four

reds that you can enjoy inside or on the patio outside where graceful vines

surround you. Get a bottle of Fiji water from each Tasting, and taste

occasional wines from the library. A cooler comes with cheese, salami, olives,

and fruits. There are also other enticing snacks for sale, and still, you will find

a huge gift shop. If you are a club member, you will enjoy it as you lounge

HALTER RANCH WINERY

Ranch sits at Paso Robles west-side region, and it’s dated way back in the

1880s. Easily notable by people, for environmental conservation as it has

high-quality winemaking. Conservationist Hansjörg Wyss and Swiss medical device

billionaire are the Ranch owners who protected an almost four-mile corridor for

access of wildlife to have a reliable, and ancient spring.

They preserved an old coast live oak tree that is 500 years old and considered as the world’s largest. For the sake of living things such as floral and fauna, they conserved over 1,700 acres from their 2000-acre property. While the remaining space of 281, Wyss and his winemaker team, developed a vineyard acre growing 13 varieties. They also built a tasting room and a state-of-the-art winery.

feature a 600-square-foot area, with windows that start from floor-to-ceiling

as they take advantage of their perch. They start from $20 for usual Tasting, which

features one white, one rosé, and three reds—regularly topped off with a taste
