            “China’s Industrial Reboot Runs Into the Global Coronavirus Shock” is an article that describes the effect of the coronavirus to China’s economy. Since the nation is still battling to contain the spread of coronavirus, most industries have been dormant since late January during the Lunar New Year Holiday. However, China’s government is seeking some solutions, which will help in avoiding the extended shut-down of industries. The country has instead focused on rebooting the companies in order to achieve the developmental targets of the year 2020.

According to the article, China is trying to get back to work. About 78 percent of workers in various industries have returned and resumed their work.  All workers are still entitled to endure quarantine measures while at work. Thus, they are further allowed to travel via long-distance buses to their workplace to avoid the spread of coronavirus. However, some suspicions have been raised by economists who claim that China is fudging their statistics. This concerns the reduced number in the cases of the spread of coronavirus in the country. In this case, the country has been accustomed to tracking substitutes for economic activity, such as energy consumption. Coal was among the proxies for energy consumption. The use of coal that was burned to generate electricity has been increasing in China and is currently approaching the average levels this year.

Nonetheless, although China is trying to recover the economy and business life, it is still facing the weakest first quarterly contraction of economics since 1990. In this scenario, a disruption in business in China and other parts of the world, have further affected international trade and markets.  Most products and services, which are supplied to various parts of the world from China, are delayed due to the coronavirus epidemic. Thus, has caused an economy disruption, which has reduced demand and profit margins of various businesses across the world.

In conclusion, China is still controlling the spread of coronavirus. The country is working to return all workers to their respective jobs. Eventually, international trade has been subsiding due to coronavirus in China.
