To start with, I need to have pursued a bachelor’s degree in recreation, parks and leisure studies or tourism or recreation administration. Additionally, it is desirable I have training in first aid and customer service and also Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) credential. I need to have some experience and training in this career to reach my desired position in the tourism industry (Crossley et al,,2018). I, therefore, have a duty to look for internships in one of the tourism firms in my state. The placement would help me in perfecting my skills and knowledge in the tourism sector. Having followed that route I am sure that I will have the required knowledge and skills which could make me so competitive in my professional career. Additionally having majored in tourism course in the college level will ensure that I am with all relevant knowledge and techniques required in tourism career. I believe that with excellent interpersonal communication skills, good time management as well as having met the minimum requirements for a recreational director I will follow my career ladder to land into my all-time target profession.
