job posting
I’m writing to you about the job posting you have made available on LinkedIn for the Software Development Engineer position at your company. I believe I would be an excellent fit for this position since I’m a software engineer with both demonstrated working experiences and a high educational level with a Ph.D. in that field.
I had a distinct education journey with a particular focus on Software Testing. During my master’s study, which is centered on Software Verification & Validation, I mastered many testing technologies such as JUnit, TDD, and automatic GUI tests for websites using JAVA and Selenium. I then got more specialized in Software Testing by obtaining my Ph.D. degree, during which I proposed several evaluation methods to test many facets of big data systems. By providing such details, I would like to confirm that the technical tasks of software testing are part of my own culture as a software engineer.
Working with Java projects and object-oriented programming concepts is something I do regularly. Indeed, Java is my first choice as a programming language that I started to use more than twelve years ago. I developed my skills in JAVA and its related technical tools, such as Maven, JUnit, and JML, in different contexts as an employee and currently as a teaching assistant.
Without a doubt, working in the industry has improved my technical skills, such as mastering agile development tools (e.g., JIRA & Nexus) and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins. In contrast, my doctoral study allowed me to build up my analytical abilities, communication skills, and the value of collaboration.
I would like you to know that I do not have any mobility constraints. So, if I’m hired for this job, I will move near to Lausanne to start a new life. Additionally, being a French citizen, I do not think that I will face issues regarding work authorization in Switzerland.
I would be thrilled to learn more about this job opening, and show you how my qualifications can contribute to SOPHiA GENETIC’s success.
