labour-saving technology
In the 1920s, there was the introduction of labour-saving technology which was widely adopted by most Americans. Some of the devices included the automobile, washing machine, aeroplane and the radio. Today almost all Americans own or have used these devices and own them in their houses. Communications are everyday and washing machines as they are used in daily lives and have made work more effortless in the daily routine. The aeroplane has made transportation easy and convenient for Americans today. During the 1920s, there was the issue of racism emerging from the Ku Klux Klan, which believed in the minority of the white people and became hostile to the immigrants who were of different ethnicity. Today, racism is still an issue, and the minority groups are yet to find equality due to their colour. Another concern during the 1920s was the social problem whereby the rich are fewer, and they owned most resources while the poor were about 45 per cent who lived under the poverty line. This is a similar issue today where the majority of the people live under the poverty line while the few who are rich enrich themselves.
