Expository is a piece of writing that is organized or planned to explain or bring out concepts more clearly from a series of events. Expository paragraphs give readers rough idea of what they expect from a given scholarly article. Lord of flies is a novel by William that focusses on a group of boys who have left aground in an atomistic place to rule themselves.
As chapter three opens, we meet the boys grouped into two groups one for the elder boys the other one for young boys commonly referred to as the littluns. The two groups are seriously obsessed by killing the pig. Jack is more obsessed by the murder and even takes off his clothing to confirm this. Other boys are busy on their hideouts playing and entertaining themselves soon Jack insists on the need for putting up a shelter where they will roast meat from. This creates the difference between the two groups and makes the littluns more upset. Simon storms in with a new idea of making a hut from vines and trees which later succeeds. Jack fails to kill the pig and instead meets Ralph for argue like they have been used to.
Their difference grows from Jack’s eagerness to shed blood opposed to Ramps idea of not dying of exposure. The littluns are jungle cowards and dwarf their work is to follow other boys to help them pick fruits from tall trees they can’t reach. They represent the small communities that should be taken care of but they are not a dynamic part of the society. William uses the littluns to represent the people in the society who follow what others do without necessarily causing harm to them. Their bigger role is to try to bring unity among the bigger people in the society and younger people in that society.
Lord of the Flies associate people with the ageless topics of society versus the individual, and the brutality conceivable in human instinct. Readers will without a doubt perceive the parallels between Golding’s novel and most loved contemporary titles basic in their life.
