Male fertility
Talks about fertility (or infertility) tend to lean on women more than men. That is true to this era of knowledge. So what about men fertility? And as a woman what should you know about it? How can you help your man if he’s deemed infertile.
Male fertility is determined by the amount of sperm in a single ejaculate or in semen. To determine this count doctors have to do a check from a single ejaculate. If the number per ejaculate is below 39 million or 15 million per ml (mililetre) then the man is considered infertile.
Most specialists believe that things that boost testosterone have a significant impact on fertility. There are natural remedies to boost a man’s sperm count. First, it may seem like a nobrainer, but enough sleep and reducing stress is important. A man’s diet also matters because obesity is one cause of infertility. Quitting smoking, alcohol, marijuana among other drugs is also a fertility booster. A man can also include other supplements but ensure you consult a doctor first.
When it comes to male infertility a lot of factors arise. First, a man is supposed to fertile and be fertile for almost his entire life. It therefore becomes a blow when a man learns he is unable to sire. And as we know in most societies men do not share such things with their social circle. Without support men, wane to depression, denial, blaming others or worse suicide.
It should be known that about 7% of men are infertile. In marriage, male issues lead to lack of children. We have been told that male fertility has been on the decline more than 50% in Western countries. It does not mean there is no decline elsewhere only that this is where the research focused.
A man can be fertile throughout his life. This doesn’t mean every man should be graded the same. If a man’s infertility is irreversible it is time to look for other means.
