Mary the Virgin
According to Mary, the virgin has influenced the way they behave towards other people why looking at Jesus, who is the son of Mary, and copying the discipleship. They believe that Mary is ever interceding for them to his son in heaven. They think they are safe since Virgin Mary protects them from any danger as well as providing for their needs. In the prayer, they make “Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to Thy protection, implored Thy help or sought Thy intercession was left unaided ”.
They believe God chooses Virgin Mary to be “the dispenser of grace ” so this teaches them to be gracious too. They believe that they cannot lack anything since Virgin Mary is their mother, and a child cannot lack anything in the presence of his mother. They still believe Virgin Mary as their mediator, as Pope Francis says in “entire life was contained in her song of praise”. They consider that Virgin Mary is looking after the poor as well as the simple in the society, and they remain comfortable believing that their mother is still alive, and she has a place in her heart where she keeps them. Christians try to emulate her by loving one other as well as taking care of those who are sick and the poor by even providing to their physical needs, feeding them, clothing them, and visiting those who are neglected.
The importance of having the Virgin Mary as a female role model is because females are so caring, and Mary’s actions teach them to love everyone as she does and cares for everyone regardless of their tribe, gender, race, or sex. It is not easy to be a mother one has to devote her time towards taking care of her children, her husband, and society as a whole. Mothers are given a clear picture of how an ideal should behave since she provides a clear picture of the same. Mothers should be the most potent beings for the nation to stand. Virgin Mary is the best mother and caring woman who has never been seen in the world from the day it started. Mary is pure, loving and caring, and she obeys God’s words this is seen when Angel Gabriel tells her she was to give birth to Jesus she doesn’t question “you will bear a son ’’, she replies “let it be done to me according to your word ”. Everyone learns to every human that they should obey God’s voice every time regardless of their condition since Mary was a virgin and accepted to give birth to Jesus irrespective of her status. When Mary was pregnant, she offered a magnificent prayer to God; this teaches mothers to be prayerful. When Mary gave birth to Jesus after some weeks, she went to dedicate her from her mother’s should dedicate their children to God as a living sacrifice so that God will take of them.
Virgin Mary had a choice not to carry Jesus in her womb, but she decided to carry him regardless that she was a virgin, and she never minded if Joseph could understand or not. Christian is influenced by his decision I a way that they should obey God’s call regardless of our conditions since God as a God reason for the same.
In conclusion, the Virgin Mary has positively influence Orthodox Christians since the Christians emulate her. She visited Elizabeth, and this encourages the Christian to visit the needy. She obeyed the voice of God, and Christians should follow her.
