Must have read/willing to read chapters 1, 2 and 3 of MINIMALISM: Live a Meaningful Life, we want to investigate how he constructs his argument. The paper should be organized into three sections: the introduction, body, and conclusion. Introduction: Don’t summarize your essay in the introduction. You need to provide context of your investigation. Offer a succinct summary of the argument for these chapters: what is the stated purpose for creating the argument? What key premise(s) do they highlight and why they are relevant to the purpose? Transition to your thesis statement by offering a position: Is there one argument strategy that is used particularly well? Or, is the argument deficient in strategy? [unique_solution]You should end with a clear thesis statement that indicates your purpose. Body: Following our paragraph studies, use a focused and explicit topic sentence to state your main point of each paragraph. Define and elaborate on your main point so that the reader understands what this term means. Validate, using text, to support your observations. Transitions should be used as a way to bridge one paragraph point to the next. Review the paragraph handout and readings to make sure you understand how to write an investigative paragraph. Conclusion: Do not summarize your essay. What are the broader implications of your thesis statement?
