Moving to Brazil
Brazil is found in South America. The total area is 8,514,215 km2. The area is made up of land 99%. Brazil’s climatic characteristic is tropical, but the southern part is relatively temperate. The country also has the world’s second-largest river, the Amazon River. The terrain of Brazil is made up of coastal mountain ranges, the vast central plateau and the other area is primarily made of sedimentary basins.
Brazil is the country with the most extensive arable land in the world that produces vast amounts of grains each year. Organic and inorganic, traditional and mechanized agriculture is employed in the production of agricultural products. For instance, the burning of land is used to remove tall, dry, and nutrient-poor pastures at the end of the seasons. The existence of such a vast fertile land makes the main economic activity of Brazil to be agriculture.
Apart from the agricultural land, Brazil is also commonly known for the existence of the extensive Rainforest in the Amazon basin, the Amazon forest. The forest forms the habitat to many species of both flora and fauna. The forest is known for its preservation of very native species. It also the role it plays in the purification of the atmosphere. Natural resources of value are also found in this country. They include gold, nickel, bauxite, and iron ore, among others.
Some of the challenges that face Brazil include natural hazards like recurrent droughts, floods, and occasional frost. Environmental issues like deforestation of the Amazon, illegal poaching and wildlife trade, pollution caused by mining activities, among others.
The total population of Brazil is approximately 215 million, which is best described as a multiethnic society, meaning that it is home to people of different ethnic origins. The religion of Brazil is a mixture of many religions.
