The organizations need to ensure that their employees are subjected to a conducive work environment to boost their performance since they are a part of the company’s competitive advantage. The study will incorporate data collection where its primary evaluation will be on the effectiveness that music can uphold in an employee’s performance in an organization. Various studies on music and employee performance will be evaluated in the literature review to gain insight into other scholar’s perspectives regarding the issue. The data collected will be assessed and analyzed in a systematic way to determine the effects of music incorporation in an organization before and after the employees. After that, recommendations will be offered, which will give a directive on how music helps create a work-friendly environment for the employees.

According to Shih et al., (2016), in every organization, the human resource department is an essential part of any organization regardless of whether the organization is a start-up, local, or it operates internationally. Music, on the other hand, provides therapeutic effects; therefore, organizations can put up a strategy that will incorporate music, especially during breaks, which can reduce the worker’s stress by offering relaxation. Most organizations, according to Ajala (2016), look upon their employees in delivering quality products and services. As a way of ensuring the effectiveness of the employees, the human resource department provides that all the employees possess exceptional skills and knowledge towards their areas of specialization.

Despite customers being part of the organization’s competitive advantage, Daunfeldt et al. (2019) postulate that employees’ welfare is also crucial since employees’ satisfaction in their workplace also matters. Therefore, According to Landay and Harms (2019), the quantity and quality of the employee’s performance depend on the treatment that an organization offers to them. Therefore, it becomes essential for organizations to formulate mechanisms that will improve the workplace environment to increase the productivity of their workers. There has been an increase in the work-life balance that has also influenced the work-life imbalance that might end up exposing the workers to health issues (Straßmann et al., 2019). In such instances, the employees tend to have low productivity, and the consequences end up affecting the society at large, with the immediate family being the most affected (Straßmann et al., 2019). As well, by an organization dictating and imbalanced work formula to its employees, the primary effect includes the employees losing morale towards such companies, absenteeism, and job quitting, thus leading to poor organizational reputation. Music, according to Landay and Harms (2019), is part of the most excellent strategies due to its indirect impact on an individual’s performance as a stress reliever since, in most instances, stress usually inhibits a person’s productivity. Despite the busy schedule that most organizations generally face, especially the manufacturing industry, the human resource should be considerate of the employee’s plight (Joseph, 2017). Therefore, it will be essential for organizations to achieve their set objectives by exposing the employees to the right and best practices to ensure long stay and survival in the industry. Hence, it will be essential for Human resource managers to ensure that they meet their employee’s needs to increase their performances through mutual benefits. One way that they can achieve meeting the employee’s performance is by formulating unique topics that other organizations have not yet incorporated where music is part of such an approach. Music can also be incorporated in a company where there can be an organization of music competitions as a way of breaking the monotony. According to Joseph (2017) asserts that during such instances, the best performers can be rewarded, which is one way of ensuring that the employees can compose themselves through such breaks.
