My desire to study business management

Growing up in the business environment enlightened me that entrepreneurs have the powers to change their destiny and serve as the role model for creating wealth that is imperative for economic development. My parents own a business and I find them action-oriented & highly-motivated individuals fostering unconventional ideas and a voracious appetite to explore. It is really fascinating to see how they manage the firm. Enthralled I would often spend my holidays in their office learning about business practically. Inspired by my parents and passionate to become an entrepreneur, I desire to study business management and gain in-depth knowledge to establish my own business.

I took Commerce in high school and studied Math, Accountancy, English, Economics and Business Studies. No other subject captivated me as much as Business studies. Each passing day expanded my enthusiasm for the discipline and I always put my best effort to understand the underlying concepts and spent late nights comprehending difficult conception that helped me score good grades in Business studies consistently. To gain perspective on many more aspects of business management, I participated in a few entrepreneurship programs such as The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) and The Columbia Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship program. I worked hard to channel my ideas and my pitch called “CareerGo” came second in the competition. Taking leadership of my group and presenting our idea on stage made me realize that this was exactly what I wanted to do in life. Besides academics, I have unparalleled interest in dancing and involved in this beautiful art since the age of 2 years. I grew up learning various forms of dance including Indian classical that taught me the significance of time management and dedication. I have performed in different shows and received a lot of appreciation for it.

I decided to study in the UK, considering the country is well-renowned for its worldwide reputed universities offering excellent education and the post-study work permit is the cherry on the cake. After graduating, I will work for a couple of years as an investment banker then pursue my masters before I found my own startup. I always dreamt of being a businesswoman, and within 10 years, I hope to see myself running a successful company. This is my strong belief that the UK business degree reflecting the recent trends and changes in the global market will give command over core business principles and makes me more adaptable & resilient to change and improves my confidence to handle business challenges in today’s rapidly growing world.
