Narrative Essay-My Visit to the USA
In December 2015, is the year I visited the USA, it’s now five years, but I still remember this day like it happened yesterday or a week ago. I had an opportunity to Visit the USA after my aunt, who lives in Washington DC, requested my mother to allow me to go and spent the holiday with them because it was their vacation period (Wang et al.,2020). To me, this was like a dream, and even after receiving the news about the one month holiday, I could not believe anyone until I was told to pack my thing because in few days I will be going to the USA.
I was so excited, and I was waiting for the big day with a lot of eagerness and no sleep at all. The day finally came, and I was ready to travel, from the airport we took approximately 13 hours from China to the USA. I arrived safely, Aunt, uncle, niece, and nephew were so happy to see me; it was about three years since we met, and so the house was filled with tears of Joy (Wang et al.,2020). Stepping in USA land, to me, this was a dream that had came true, and therefore I wished that we could visit many states in the USA so that when I go back, I can tell my friends about my trip.
For the one month, we were able to visit three states, where we were able to learn, enjoy, and, most important to experience the new environment that I had not experienced before. Among the countries we visited are Maryland, DC Metro, and Virginia. The first week, of course, was the time to visit a better place in Washington, DC. This is among the places we visited in the first week, as you see, the site is beautiful, it is a place where people go for a walk, rid of, and they play around with water as well as enjoying the fresh air of nature. The environment is perfect, glass is green in color, and at some points, and we spent sometimes sleeping there to feel its goodness. One thing I found very interesting is that not all trees are green in color, but they all look attractive, and we were enjoying taking a lot of pictures.
Being a game fun, I could not want this chance to go away without me watching teams playing. Since my young age, I have been playing, and it is my best hobby, we had to wait until the games were over. In the first week, we were able to visit several places in Washington, DC, and I enjoyed it a lot,
In the following week, we visited the states of Maryland, in one of the hotels by the name Countryard hotel.
The view of the hotel looked good from the far; as we get near, I realized that it was more beautiful, and as we get in, it was a charming hotel that you could wish to live there all the days of your lives. We spent a week; we enjoyed different types of food that were served and the excellent services they offered to us (Wogalter, 2020). We could ride, we could swing, and the most important I enjoyed is the swimming part. I like swimming; this was the best swimming pool I ever came across. I wished days were not moving fast so that I could have a longer time to enjoy. While stile there we were being taken to other new places to play around with other people as well as being able to interact with new people, it was a fantastic time that I have had in my life.
In the third week, we visited DC metro Virginia, this time, I suggested we visit the rail station, and we have a ride on trains (Wogalter,2020). Their trains looked very good, and I wanted to see the difference between our trains and the USA trains. The trains very comfortable, we used trains to travel from one station to another, and it was the best experience.
The days were moving fast, being the fourth week. We were to have a rest as well as using the things that were within the compound. My aunt requested as to ride, use a computer to play games and to play around with anything we feel that should make us happy. It was a week of spending time together as a family in the compound, a well as sharing a lot that when I go home, I will go and share with others (Wogalter,2020). My days finally came to an end, and I had no option other than going back because of my preparations for joining the school in the following year. I wished I could have more time to spend with them or even to transfer my school to the USA, but they promised me after college. I will go back to the USA.
Visiting the USA gave me a chance to interact with other new people; it allowed me to know how people live in different countries, and above all, it allowed me to be able to learn many things that I had not heard or learned about the USA. It was the best moment in my life since I never experienced this before. I learned to be responsible as well as taking care of all things, both my things and other people’s belonging (Wogalter, (2020). For instance, in the places that we visited, my aunt used to tell me to be careful not to mess up with other people’s things because it might cost us. In the house, she permitted us to use all the items within the compound but to handle them with a lot of care. This was a great experience, and I believe that I was able to gather more information to share with other people as well as writing whenever we are told to write about the best places we ever visited. Literacy played an essential role in this trip where I gained the courage of reading and writing what I saw; I gained the courage to interact with people from a different culture and most important I got to learn about the different language that people uses (Wogalter, 2020). I gained a lot of experience; I will never forget, the visit to the USA made me have fun stories that I will always be sharing with other people who never had an opportunity to visit the USA.
