Narratives in Patterns
Topic: Review our notes and the chapter on Narratives in Patterns. Then, compose a Narrative, either fiction or non-fiction, which incorporates the elements we discussed in class. Use MLA format for style and citations.
Due date: October 7, 2016 – bring a printed copy to class.
Length: 1,000 words
Required formatting: All written work is expected to be turned in typed, on white paper, in 12-point Times New Roman font. It should be double spaced, be left-justified, and have one-inch margins. Multiple pages must be stapled. Nothing should be centered (except possibly a one-line title) and the actual text of the assignment should begin no lower than one-third of the way down the first page. When in doubt, refer to MLA standards, which can be found in many places online or in the MLA Handbook.
