Bearing in mind that the NCAA receives revenues summing up to $1billion all of which comes from TV rights and marketing fees it is high time the sports management body starts taking the issue of paying the athletes seriously.

With such tremendous revenues that the NCAA gets they should come up with a strategy of making college athletes perform better and one of the ways ensuring that they fully support and motivate the athletes through payments, scholarships among many others. My brother happens to be a very active athlete in the college he is undertaking his studies. He plays Basketball f, and he dedicates himself into training so that he can ensure that5 he delivers for the team. However, what does he get in return after putting his energy and taking care of his health and training had to ensure that his team performs well? Nothing. It is therefore very paramount that the NCAA starts considering the welfare of these athletes if they want to keep their athletes motivated in performing well.

Today I will be focusing on why the NCAA needs to start paying college athletes, how the athletes’ benefits, and how they can improve the motivation of the athletes in the long run. It is quite evident that humans beings need a drive and motivation to perform and give the best they can in anything g they are doing. It is therefore vital that the NCAA considers having a remuneration method to pay college athletes if they want to get the, perform well at all times.

Through this remuneration, the athletes get money to spend when they get injured pay college fees or even support their families and friends, through this the athletes and the entire community sees the benefits the athletes get from the NCAA. They can attract and nurture other upcoming talents.

The major problem that the NCAA faces is that they do not have a full and legitimate register of all college athletes (Epstein, 2018). Secondly is that they do not have a reliable framework that they can use to ensure that these athletes get paid. Another critical problem has a database with all college athletes’ names, accounts, and if they participate in any competitions. Through the above challenges, the NCAA has faced a very rough time trying to implement the pay system and ensuring that athletes are paid. It is, therefore, an urgent thing that athletes need to be taken care of and be motivated so that they can keep performing well.

Another critical issue that I noted in the whole matter concerning the NCAA paying athletes is setting the amount that each athlete is supposed to be paid. Bearing in mind that there are athletes who participate in various games and competition, it might be hard to ascertain how to pay these athletes. However, the NCAA ought to work as hard as they can to ensure that they come with methods that merit-based and considers the efforts and performance of all athletes. Additionally, the NCAA ought to pay all athletes who participate or do not since not all of them participate in the games. However, having a fair and transparent way of paying them is a good idea, and this will help them keep the scheme going. To successfully implement the pay system for the athletes, I came up with the following strategic framework that I think the NCAA can adopt.

Additionally, through the data collected the NCAA can adequately plan on how they can come up with a central database to enable them to keep track of all athletes and the payments they make. Additionally, they get an opportunity to know about the employees who participate in multiple competitions hence come up with a proper and fair way of paying them.

Secondly is ensuring that all athletes legitimately register their names, accounts and use images to be identified. This will help the athletes in getting third party sponsorships and also avoid any confusion when the payments are being made.

The crucial third step is to ensure that the athletes get their payments in time. This will help the athletes in knowing how they can use the money to do a few things and help them use the money in the right way. Through the above structure, the NCAA can, therefore, implement a framework on how they can pay the athletes without any significant challenges.

The last step in this process should involve the NCAA conducting frequent vetting and evaluation of the athletes (Winfree, 2018). This will help them in knowing how effective the process is and if there are any loopholes in the system. Through this, the NCAA can come up with reliable methods of handling these challenges and making the process more effective and efficient in the long run. Additionally, the NCAA needs to ensure that they identify the new athletes who join the association and how they can be successfully integrated into the system and have them receive their dues in time.

From the statics, I found out that the NCAA is an athletic association that regulates student-athletes from 1,268 institutions across the United States of America and Canada at now the body has over 400,000 student-athletes competing in different games (Winfree, 2018). Bearing in mind that the association generate revenue form the games that the student participate in there is an excellent need of paying the athlete. The following are the benefits of paying athletes. First is that the student-athletes get an opportunity of buying personal training stuff. Secondly, the athletes get motivated since they can that at the end of the day, their efforts are giving to be rewarded. This indeed gives them a positive drive and motivation to keep going and becoming committed to providing the best. The third key advantage of paying athletes is that they catalyze competition among the athletes and through this, the games are made exciting and more competitive.Another critical benefit of paying student-athletes is that the students get an opportunity of seeing that their talents are valuable and useful to other members of the society at large.

The NCAA should, therefore, be responsible for ensuring that student-athletes are paid their dues since they generate their income from the activities that these athletes participate in. Lastly but not least, the NCAA, athletes and other sports bodies need to engage in meaningful discussions on how they can taking sports to the next level through taking care of the athletes.
