Focus Groups
I would use a focus group whereby the group of ten sales associates will gather to discuss specific ideas and products. I selected this tool since surveys and interviews are time-consuming and require meeting a person at a time, yet in focus groups, there will be depth and complexity in their responses(Noe&Kodwani, 2018). The assessment will be conducted by asking the sales associates a series of questions; then, they will be given platforms to share their opinions, reactions, and ideas. The responses and attitudes of the ten associates will be studied to measure the most likely response of the overall population and potential impacts of new products.
Conclusion
Every organization needs to identify if a problem or pressure point exists, andthe best solution for this is through the training of new employees. Focus groups are useful in getting detailed information about training needs based on there to face to face meetings with groups, where questions that relate to specific training needs are asked. It will also be tiresome to conduct an interview with one person after another when one can interview everyone at the same time through a focus group. Through a focus group, I will be able to select ten sales associates that will have the knowledge and will be able to handle tasks associatedwith the company. Also, these associates will have skills, abilities, and other aspects needed for the job.
