Nonexistent Non-Profit Organization
Question 1
The interest in the non-profit organization is to help to mitigate the problem of Rotavirus in Bangladesh. According to CNN, Rotavirus causes severe effects among the population of the people of Bangladesh because the used vaccine does not work well in the country, such as other low-income countries such as Pakistan (Storrs). As a result, there is a need for research and effective distribution networks to supply the most efficient vaccines. The role of the non-profit organization, therefore, is to customize and distribute the Rotavirus vaccine in Bangladesh.
Question 2
In my opinion, it takes the identification of a social need to start a non-profit organization. The most significant factor about a non-profit organization, similar to any successful for-profit organization, is its market relevance. The higher the rendered service/goods attend to the needs and interests of people, the higher its degree of significance because people appreciate the value it signifies in their day-to-day activities. As such, the proposed non-profit organization has the capacity to succeed not only in terms of helping the people but also in regard to acceptance in society. Notably, Rotavirus treatment is a critical need in Bangladesh because the pathogen is causing people to experience high hospitalization costs and mortality among children. Accordingly, researching and availing customized vaccines for the Bangladesh population is a market-relevant venture, attending directly to the health needs of society. Question 3
Accurate customization of the vaccines is what the organization requires to gain acceptance to the general public. There are ongoing misconceptions and widespread facade that viruses are not safe. As a result, a substantial number of persons are susceptible to avoid vaccines and denounce organizations producing and distributing the drugs (Al Jazeera). However, the case is different in Bangladesh and Rwanda, where there is an almost 100 percent acceptance (Al Jazeera). As a result, the organization needs to employ the most qualified persons in the fields of immunization and supply chain. The lack of negative issues will ensure that the public accepts the vaccine whole-heartedly, as usual, because there is no reason to dissuade their trust towards vaccination.
Question 4
Depicting the non-profit organization as a channel for corporate social responsibility is an efficient way of attracting donors. Undoubtedly, the cost of researching, producing, and distributing the vaccine is high. As a result, there is a need for prospecting the entrepreneurial idea in large corporations. Fortunately, there is an increasing trend of companies giving back to society in strife for advancing marketing efforts and brand establishment in Bangladesh (Wise and Ali). As a result, it is crucial to selling the idea to corporations as a partnership venture because companies find it lucrative when their brand associates with what the market considers noble courses.
Question 5
The proposed non-profit organization qualifies under the qualified nonprofits’ legal structure. The eligible nonprofits’ legal structure encapsulates “religious, education, scientific and literary groups, as well as child and animal welfare organizations” (Dummies). The non-profit business is under the docket of scientific groups, thus, requiring a qualified nonprofit legal structure. Correspondingly, the organization will not benefit from tax-exempt policies since only organizations in the tax-exempt nonprofits have protection from tax levies, as stated under section 501 of the Internal Revenue Service Code (Dummies). Therefore, there is a need for the proposed nonprofit organization to prepare tax filing reports. However, under special arrangements with the government, the firm can be exempted from tax payments.
Question 6
Participating in Bill and Gates Foundation forums is critical in helping to fund the non-profit company. The Bill and Gates foundation has a mission of improving the health status of persons, especially children, in low-income countries. As such, interacting in the forums with people who share in the same social burden paves the way of sourcing funds and rendering the people aware of the need to support the organization.
