Notably, online privacy is an essential tool for reducing cases of cyberbullying. In this respect, online privacy involves securing sensitive data from intruders by the use of passwords. In this case, the Information Technology experts have been working hard to make a more traditional means of securing sensitive data. Importantly, online privacy has gone through various processes depending on the technology. However, the use of the internet was not every day in tradition because smartphones were not accessible. Also, computers were not widely used. In this respect, most of people were not computer literate. As a result, it was very rare to hear any case concerning cyber-bullying. However, the process of online privacy started on 1990 when a significant number of people started using internet. Also, IT experts were forced to adopt online privacy due to increase in the number of website that required personal information. In 1994, some companies started experiencing some attempts of hacking data. Therefore, these companies opted to send informative mails on weekly basis to their potential customers concerning online privacy. Also, the aspect of privacy was introduced during this period to regulate the access of some harmful sites for children. Examples of these sites were pornography sites and online gaming which resulted to indiscipline cases and poor performance in academics. In 21st century, IT was widely exploited by both private and public companies. In this respect, computers which had an ability of storing more data were introduced. As a result, online privacy was needed to secure the stored data from hacker or other related cases such as deleting the data permanently. In 2000, the internet users were challenged by experts who were able to access personal information with the help of wireless router. Therefore, IT experts came up with antivirus applications which blocked any intruder. However, the hackers are working hard to make new methods of hacking data. Hence, other than antimalware and antivirus, the internet users should not submit their personal information to unknown sites for the sake of their data. Besides, people should avoid shopping on unknown sites because they may force them to pay for services that they have not benefited from.

Primarily, internet provides a fastest platform for connecting to the world. However, all internet users are vulnerable to internet threat. In this case, there are three major online privacy issues namely; snooping information mishandling and location tracking. Notably, information mishandling involves the sites found in the internet that the user must feed their personal details for them to work. In this respect, cookies provide a storage site for the information. Therefore, the information might be accessed by third party if the computer or smartphone fails to hide the information. Also, technology has advanced the method of banking and running business through internet. Notably, the portals involve precise procedures, but they not secure. In this case, sharing a hint of personal information concerning e-business or e-banking may yield to a severe loss. Snooping involves a direct view by a tracker when the internet user is browsing. Notably, the person who has a bad intention might use the online history and track the activity log of the internet user. In this respect, the tracker can view the personal information of the internet user. Besides, the tracker might use the name or image of the internet user to get information from the friends or post the picture of the user on public domains. In most cases, snooping is used to derive images that are later used for advertising (Alexandra, 2019). Location tracking involves tracking data posted by internet users on social media. In most cases, the information is derived from the posts that contain Google maps readings. Notably, this information is permanently saved in the sites. In this case, tracking the user is very easy.

The aspect of current issues with privacy online affects the society and the economy is affected by current issues with privacy online in the following ways; decreasing the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of a country in the process of regulating cybercrimes. Notably, reduced GDP leads to reduced job opportunities and also innovation. Besides, it affects the

This law regulates the mails sent and ensuring that they are standard. Also, the law compiles relevant information of the senders. Fourthly, Electronic Communications Privacy Act (1986). The law ensures that the cables and other communication gadgets are of the right quality and quantity. Fifthly, Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (1998). Also, the company should meet the government requirement to ensure a firm security and an effective running. Besides, the company should update passwords with time. The company should also engage the workers in the drafting of privacy policy. Importantly, complying with the above measures will benefit the company and the economy at large.

Overall,the government should pay attention to cases of cybercrime and propose the effective prevention methods.
