At the end of the quarter, I learnt that management and organizational behaviour is an essential concept in an organization. Organization behaviour is the study of how people behave in an organizational environment. It is a discipline that is concerned with understanding human behaviour through an in-depth study of their actions and also attitudes. When an organizational culture is meaningful, this will have a positive impact on an individual, it creates a team environment and motivates employees. In future, the knowledge I have gained in the classroom will help me to be in a position to understand fellow workers and also help me to channel my skills to achieve the set goals.

Organizational behaviour will help me improve my problem-solving skills in future. This also helps in improving industrial relations. It helps to understand what caused a problem, know its consequences and mitigate measures to control the problem from escalating. As a leader, I will be in a position to maintain good relations with my employees because I am in a position to elucidate the negative and positive consequences of employee behaviour. This way, I can predict and control their behaviour. Solving problems at the workplace leads job satisfaction to the employees.

I learnt that organizational behaviour will help me advance my managerial skills and manage human resources. In managing human resources, it develops an environment that is conducive, which has a positive atmosphere. In return, the dysfunctional behaviours like absenteeism, tardiness and dissatisfaction are countered. Organizational behaviour has a positive impact on the functional department. It is practical and efficient hence increase productivity. On the other hand, managerial skills help to create good leaders. It will help me gain self-development and be in a position to understand and evaluate all the perspectives of each person. This way, I can create a team that is productive and can attain the set goals. It is a good instrument that helps managers to ensure work is done well.

In the marketing field, organizational behaviour will help me to have smooth progress. It will help me have a clear and deep insight into consumer behaviour. Their needs and wants, therefore, work towards achieving customer satisfaction. Understanding what customers need will help me to plan and direct the field employees. Customer satisfaction leads to increased productivity in the company.

The skills I have gained from the study will help me create a tradition of continuous improvement. Interventions on human behaviours help to find out what should be done. Effective communication, creativity and innovation will help me develop new ideas that need to be implemented to meet up with the changing trends in the world. With the introduction of change, it is crucial to communicate with the employees and make them aware of why change.

I learnt that the ability to manage stress would help me work well with the team. A leader faces many challenges in the workplace, and it is one’s duty to ensure that they handle the problem in a manner that is productive.
