To prepare for this question you will need to study: a) the differences between the causes of the depletion of the ozone layer and the causes of global warming and the problems caused by each; b) the laws and institutions, and actions taken so far to address each of these problems: and c) why the actions in one case has led to success and in the other to failure.
You should make sure that you understand the differing interests and positions of the developed and developing countries.

Topic 3: Human Development: What is it and how does the international community promote it?
To answer the question you need to know: a) the different ways human development can be described and measured, including traditional economic measures and more recent ideas that consider quality of life; b) the way the UN and the Secretary-General have provided leadership and common goals through the MDGs and the benefits that arise from this; c) the main ways that the international community promotes development; and d) the role of the World Bank.
