The image represents the autumn season when trees shed their leaves. It signifies the new beginning which in this case will be brighter than the sun. It is motivational because it implies that the end of something ushers in something new and better.
What are some of the techniques that you used and how do they affect the overall story?
I narrowed the focus to show the contrast between the leaf and the sky. The sharp focus on the leaf shows that is dried out and almost falling meaning that it is the autumn season. This has contributed to the theme of new beginnings since the leaf will fall and grow again at the onset of a new season.

I chose this image because it shows a duck in its natural habitat.
What is the theme of the image?
The duck is swimming regardless of the plenty water because of the rain. This image means that one should not remain at the comfort zone simply because there are plenty of resources. Rather, one should strive and reach their full potential.
What are some of the techniques that you used and how do they affect the overall story?
I made use of correct exposure for this image. The duck is black and the environment is also duck. Without the correct exposure, the image cannot show that the duck is swimming and the ripples in the water mean that there is rainfall. It contributes to the storytelling because the theme would have been unclear if the photo was exposed incorrectly.
