Preethika Chanda Response
According to Chanda, the first computer network to be launched is known as ARPANET. It was started mainly because of laboratory researches and for universities in the United States. The experts behind the development of the ARPANET computer network were Donald Davies, who was a British scientist, and Lawrence Roberts and associate in Lincoln laboratory. Although, the network had a few disadvantages, including the cost of implementation, which was high compared to the contemporary network connections. The networks were, therefore, not accessible to all, especially those with no political sources. TCP, on the other hand, was developed and implemented in the year 1970by two scientists of DARPA, Vint Cerf, and Bob Kahn. The implementation of TCP revolutionized communication, including that the internet became popular while data delivery, on the other hand, became efficient. Security, on the other hand, revolutionized since the security of data delivery on networks became better. The new internet connections have also been developed with the help of TCP.
