Physician Care Services Inc is a hospital that offers medical care services majorly to occupational health clients. This facility has two branches Alpha and Beta in Mifflenville and Jasper. In the recent past, it has expanded its operations and has begun accepting private patients. It covers among other services; emergency, physical, health testing and therapy. PCS has seen success since its foundation. Beside the challenges they faced, they have been able to give quality services to their clients and made a lot of profits.

According to how PCS has organized its operations,  it makes a lot profits in the coming years. Dr. Tobias scheduled stuff on monthly basis in both branches, this created order among employees and performance evaluation made easier. The management actually was able to assess the services of one of their employee, Nancy Stone who was underperforming.  This organization has however faced a lot of challenges. It faces a lawsuit after the dismissal of one of the employees who they considered unprofessional; the case is underway in court. This lawsuit has actually not affected the operations of PCS.

In therapy and other physical, the rate of service per patient is eighty minutes. This actually increases the waiting time of other clients. The organization was able to carry out appointment services to ease the waiting. It has also hired more physical assistants to cut work load. Another issue arising in PCS is financial losses that it met in its first years of operation. Perhaps it had not established its client base clearly to make profits. PSC expanded its operation and allowed private patients to use medical care in their facility. The neighborhood makes up a large percentage of patients seeking private medical services. It has tried to build good reputation that has actually earned it a place regionally over time.

PSC has however managed to stay at the top in the medicine field amidst challenges facing it. The management is wise at decision-making and it has aided greatly in its growth. PSC has no record of debt thus its earnings per share increased. The shareholders get satisfactory dividends. PCS has a record of paying its dividends without failure. This facility employed competent staff that offers good services to customers. At one research done in the organization, customers said that they were satisfied by PCS services. It is looking forward to expanding its operations to the third and fourth facility in the near future. PCS overcome the challenges in the past and can do so even better in the coming years.

Productivity metrics

Carpenter posits that productivity metrics is the assessment of performance of employees of an organization and holding them accountable to a baseline of performance. There are five metrics to test the performance of employees. The degree of helpfulness of employees indicates their performance level. Helpfulness fosters a culture of teamwork among employees (Colomo et al, 2014). It enables employees work together to help each other complete work more effectively and efficiently. It increases employee motivation and willingness to work. In PCS, an evaluation can be done where employees could be asked about how cooperative and helpful their colleague is.

Employee efficiency is another metric that can rate their performance (Carapinha, 2015). It refers to the time it takes an employee to complete a task. PCS can check the time it takes a doctor, nurse or a physician to treat one patient. It is crucial that their service time be ideal so that they can treat many patients in day. The quality of work of an employee indicates their performance (Sarli et al, 2014). PCS employees are all professional with high qualifications. This however does not mean they will do quality. An evaluation can be done on the quality of service each of them offers. A questionnaire can be issued to clients from around for them to mention which employee they feel treats them as expected. Innovation is another metric that is crucial to the organization. An organization should always keep up with technology to keep up with competition (Weber et al, 2015). PCS should use workers that are innovative; they should check their technology regularly so that the services they use are of high quality. For instance, the appointment system used by PCS has improved performance of the facility.

Acosta says that any organization should have employees that adhere to company values to meet its goals. When employees adhere to rules and regulations, they are able to keep up organization culture. PCS should assess whether all its employees adhere to the hospitals’ values.
