Nurses have essential roles in Healthcare facilities. These responsibilities include serving as a communicator, holistic caregiver, instructor specialist and a researcher (Pickles, Lacey & King 2019). Nursing students are equipped with skills to respond to different emergencies with strict adherence to the codes of ethics. Diverse cases that come in require special skills that are ideally given when undertaking a bachelor of science in nursing. Additionally, nurses are expected to at all times, demonstrate competency, which includes strict adherence to the nursing code of ethics.

Ethics is an integral part of the profession and serves as a strong foundation for nursing practice. As Pickles et al., (2019) appreciate, the job has an obvious concern for welfare targeting the sick, the vulnerable, the injured and those who undergo social injustice. Disadvantage individuals require reliable professionals to improve their quality of life..

The main aim of any intervention is to ensure individuals have adequate care and their families are well-informed. Similarly, nurses are expected to conform to the codes of ethics, which then define competency (Tluczek et al., 2019). Additionally, it is the role of nurse practitioners to consider cultural competency even as adjustments are made while handling specific conditions.

The nursing code of ethics serves as a confirmation of ethical obligation. Similarly, it serves as a professional non-negotiable standard, and as an expression of understanding about the requirements of the profession. According to Tluczek et al., (2019), the four principal codes of include autonomy, non-maleficence, justice and beneficence. The laws of ethics serve as a measure used to access and also ensures equal treatment for all patients. Health is an integral part of populations, and therefore, nurses are expected to adhere to these codes of ethics at all times during their professional life.
