Professional ethical considerations
The success of any organization highly depends on clearly defined codes of ethical standards within the organizational structure. They are the essential standard tools for effective service delivery and efficiency. These include integrity, responsibility, competence, transparency, and confidentiality. They clearly define what is required of employees in an organization. The aforementioned ethical codes of conduct root out social and economic ills that may derail the vision and objective of any organization. These are corruption and dishonesty in product and service delivery. One that may destroy the moral fabric that is to be identified with any organization and ruin its corporate image.
Integrity requires an employee to uphold truthfulness in the delivery of services. Responsibility, competency, and transparency upheld by organizations, are the significant steps towards customer satisfaction and retention. These ensure a healthy public relation with the outside organization environment is maintained. An organization that invests in inculcating the five identified ethical codes creates an internal organizational culture conducive for success. They help in trimming down service defects detected within the organizational structure. For instance, the adoption of responsibility and competency will root out laziness and ensure employee effectiveness. As a result, there will be minimum supervision with the adoption of self-drive by employees in going about their normal duties.
In consideration of the aforementioned ethic codes, I will highly consider persons of transparency and integrity. They will help in the recruitment of highly qualified employees to the organization. Transparency and integrity will ensure that the recruitment team will be free of biasness. For instance, nepotism, prejudice, and compromise by offer bribes. If not looked into, these factors may compromise the recruitment exercise and pose a significant threat to the existing organizational culture.
