Public Transport Vs. Private Transport.

Who does not depend on various means of transport to travel from one place to another? Every day, millions of people around the world commute from one place to another using road transport. Well, there are many activities like jobs, businesses, and other things that make people choose different means of transportation to their destinations. Either way, one is supposed to select a specific means of transport. Among the means of transport commonly used are public and private.

Private cars are mostly preferred because they are comfortable compared to buses. When using a privare car, one is assured of a seat where you don’t have to struggle. On the other hand, buses sometimes carry more passengers than the seats available and therefore one is expected to hurry to get inside to secure a seat. There is privacy in private cars where one can receive and make calls comfortably without distractions. Similarly, one is free to listen to the music of his or her choice. On the other hand, when using buses, one is obliged to listen to the kind of music the driver or the conductor chooses — making calls when on a bus is not effective as there is a lot of noise from other passengers.

Private cars are expensive compared to buses since one is expected to fuel, service, pay for parking places, especially when in big towns. All this expense befalls the owner of the car. Buses are cheaper as they collect money from passengers to service their buses. Private cars are suitable in case of emergencies as they are readily available and fast. When using a bus, one does not have to worry about where to park. The passenger alights at his or her place of choice. Using buses is not efficient compared to cars as one has for a bus at the bus stop for some time. The bus stops at different places to drop and pick new passengers hence delaying people who are in a hurry to get to their destination. For private means, you don’t have to wait or stop anywhere on your journey. This makes it efficient to choose cars to travel from one place to another.

Public means of transport are environmentally friendly compared to private cars. The capacity of people that buses accommodate is large. As many buses carry many people, there is less emission on the environment. If every person chooses to use private means, there could be congestion of cars in the country, and therefore the emission would be more as there are many cars. When on a bus, one enjoys the privileges of sitting down and letting someone do the driving. The passenger is sure that he or she will get to his destination. On the contrary, the prices when using bus changes with time and seasons sometimes makes it unreliable.

I would prefer public transportation, which is not expensive, not so comfortable as to cars should be the best means of transport. Buses are power in their structural features such as the engines, which is not the same case as to cars. One should, in all circumstances, choose public transport which plays a great role in reducing traffic jams on our roads. Buses are reliable as they are many, and in case of failures, there is a chance of using a different one. The passenger has the choice of deciding the kind of a bus to use.
