Real-World Application
Everyone undergoes growth and development in terms of knowledge and skills. Learning new skills is one way of preparing for the future. Undertaking the real-world application course has been very important to academic and social life. I have gained skills to be applied in the future environment I intend to face, the corporate world. My reading and writing skills have tremendously improved during this course.
One of the ways my skills have improved is displayed in my critical thinking. Through reading, I have been able to grasp text passages and think hard to understand the meanings hence processing information. As a result, I have been able to strengthen my ability to make informed as well as reasoned arguments on a variety of subjects mainly in professional specialization areas as well as the external areas. Besides, I have been able to enhance my communication skills for effective communication interaction with other people in the corporate world. I have gained knowledge that has also improved my writing skills. Right, I can write research papers on various controversial debates with an informed and reasoned decision based on critical thinking and research.
Many skills I have learned in this course will be of great use to me in future working environments. Better writing skills are one of the essential skills I have gained, which will be useful for me in the next working environment. Critical thinking and strong analytical skills are another essential advantages I have earned through this course. The working environment is usually faced with tough situations, some with dilemmas that require critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical skills will help in assessing situations and is critical thinking skills to provided informed solutions (Frankel, Jaeger & Pearson, 2013). Communication skills i have gained in this course will be of significant use in the future alongside improved focus and concentration to concentrate on my assignments.
