Unboxing

The VSYSTO Dash Cam is absolutely gorgeous.

The package comes with two cameras, a 3” LCD screen, an optical GPS tracker, a wired remote, and other accessories.

The first thing you’ll notice with the contents is that they are all made of steel. You can rest easy knowing that they can survive a crash.

The cameras come in a smooth all-black design that will look amazing on any bike. Attaching the two cameras to the bike is pretty straightforward. Install the front camera under the forks and the rear one on the fender above the license plate.

You can place the 3″ controller under the seat, or attach it to the handlebars. When trying to connect the 3″ LCD screen to the handlebars, I noticed that the mounting joint was a bit loose and shaky and opted to install the controller under the seat.

Other than the weak mount hinge, everything else is spectacular; the cabling is stronger and thicker with nice metal connections (not just push together plastic).

The Set-Up

Setting up the two-channel camera system is pretty straightforward.

Once you’ve set up the front and rear camera, lift the seat and attach the smart power cable to the motorcycle battery. This way, the system automatically switches on when you turn on the ignition.

From here, connect the wired controller and cameras to the main controller (The cables are color-coded, making it super easy). You can use electrical tape to secure the set-up and make it waterproof.

If you’re afraid of connecting the controller to your bike’s battery, you can connect it to an external power bank (I use a power bank so I can monitor what happens to my bike when parked).

Video Quality

I decided to switch off the audio and work with only the video recording.

How many Videos Can I Record?

Fitted with a 128GB TF card, the VSYSTO dash camera can record up to 12 hours of footage before it starts rewriting itself.

Rather than stopping recording, the dash cam will rewrite old footage with new footage.

To avoid losing footage, transfer videos to your computer or turn off the loop recording to stop the camera from recording once the TF card is full.
