Reduce Inequalities

            Existence of inequality has been a significant setback for the efforts aimed towards the realization of a sustainable world which supports the welfare of every being.  Through observation of different existing trends, it is evident that wealth across the world is only possessed by few individuals hence the reason why social and financial discrimination issues have always prevailed.  There are various issues leading to inequality that need to be countered for a solution to be realized. Income inequalities have created a broad gap between different classes leading to the elites discriminating low-income classes. Lack of universal political, economic, and social inclusion has also led to discrimination based on race, disability, religion, origin, sex, and other identities, thus making it a challenge for unity to be achieved.  Policies embraced in some countries have also been promoting inequality depending on what they dictate on matters concerning immigrants or any other non-indigenous individuals living in such countries. It can moreover be observed that opportunities across the world are not equally distributed, meaning that the developed nations continue to develop to higher levels. In contrast, the developing and underdeveloped continue to lag behind while struggling with their situation.

Inequality, therefore, has the consequences of affecting the level of peace across the world, whereby due to discrimination, some races, religious groups, and social groups have always lived in conflicts. Existence of inequality has further contributed to high poverty levels because only the wealthy have access to most resources while others continue to suffer under extreme poverty..

The major unresolved aspects of concern include religious and racial discrimination. These two have emerged to be the worst cases that have disrupted peace across the world and affected the relationship existing between different nations. Such discrimination has also led to poor distribution of resources across the world and divided people into different groups on the basis of their identity hence making it impossible for them to combine efforts and work towards sustainability across the globe. Discriminated groups have also remained behind in terms of technology and modern education trends, which are important tools for fighting poverty and realizing development hence making the goals of working towards a new vision of the world appear invalid.

The essence of inequality is that it has hindered different nations from flourishing to the desired levels, whereby everyone is independent and able to address all their needs. With everyone being self-sufficient, it is believed that the world can collectively prosper, and therefore everyone should be motivated to participate in reducing inequalities across the world.
