Reply to post on ethical issues that govern information management
Hello Srikanth,
I have gone through your post, and I would like to add a few points. There are several ethical issues that govern information management (Talwar, 2019). Ethical is a term that is used to mean doing the right thing. For instance, the information should be secured against cyber-attacks. So, this means that organizations should do their level best to ensure that their customers’ data is secure. It is ethical to respect the ownership of information. If information belongs to a specific person or group, it would be good to respect the rules they have put in place.
If the group has specified the people to access the information, then an organization should only allow those people to access it. There are some scenarios whereby a person or group of people restrict access to information, depending on some unique characteristics. If this is the case, then an organization should not go against the features provided. It will also be ethical to ensure that information sharing is done in the right way.
