Response 2
Indeed, the information presented by the ANA (American Nursing Association), intended to enlighten the masses on the current and future situation surrounding nursing employment and education. Indeed, considering that the majority of the registered nurses are over fifty years, then it is expected that they will retire soon enough, leaving behind a massive nursing shortage. Equally, as you have mentioned, the fact sheet presents the low nursing schools’ capacity as one of the reasons behind the present and future nursing shortage. I agree that the majority of nursing schools are turning away interested and qualified nursing students because of their incapability to accommodate (ANA, 2014).
Furthermore, as you have pointed out, the ANA, highlights the importance of higher education for nurses, for it presents with several opportunities and overall growth both personally and professionally. Equally, the ANA, points out that the majority of highly educated nurses are found in the urban areas compared to the rural areas where there are fewer, and many of them are not highly educated. Overall, as you have said, the synopsis presents projected data regarding the nursing practice.
Indeed, it is essential to perform both a validity and reliability test on data collection tools before proceeding with the data collection process. I concede that reliability defines the consistency of an instrument in producing specific expected results (Houser, 2018). On the other hand, as you have said, validity tests critique the ability of tools to measure a predicted variable. Indeed, observation is a method for data collection. Through observation, it is possible to monitor patients for a presented condition, as you have mentioned. After that, as you have highlighted, it is essential to compare with other studies to ensure the research is on track.
